FAS fined 2 million rubles net Sash & Metro Sarry

Federal Antimonopoly Service has fined two million rubles in the trading network Metro Sash & Sarry in the case of discrimination of suppliers, said head of the department of trade and non-service profile management department Larisa Tuzikova, PRIME. The total amount of fines, she said, may amount to 130 million rubles.
"All in 65 episodes. The amount of penalty determined, and we are now waiting for a number of documents from the Metro for the imposition of fines on the remaining 64 episodes, "- said Tuzikova. She noted that the Office within two months, will issue regulations on fines, if all the documents will be provided in time.
FAS believes that Metro discriminated against Sarry Sash & suppliers of fish and fish products. According to experts of the service, the cost of services to commercial companies to promote products suppliers, depending on the turnover has been installed illegally. The case against Metro Sash & Sarry was opened in early 2011, and in November the Federal Antimonopoly Service recognized that discrimination on the part of the network with respect to the suppliers. Metro Sash & Sarry dispute to the Arbitration Court of Moscow the November decision of the FAS, the next court hearing is scheduled for July 10.
Metro Group manages more than 2.2 thousand stores in 33 countries. The company is developing a network of wholesale hypermarket chain Metro / Makro Cash & Carry, a network of shops of home appliances and electronics Media Markt and Saturn, as well as hypermarkets Real. Net profit of the group on the basis of Metro Group in 2011 decreased by 25% to 631 million euros. In Russia, Metro Cash & Carry is represented by 62 trade centers.
